Dentures

Modern dentures

Traditional dentures
In terms of aesthetic appearance they are almost identical to dentures made out of newer materials. Its arch-coloured base plate is made of acrylate, a material that has been used for decades in removable dentures and is therefore called "traditional dentures". Its rigidity makes it easier to break but it is also relatively easy to repair. Unlike more modern composites it can cause mucosal irritation for those sensitive to it and its higher absorption (moisture-absorbing) capacity makes it more prone to plaque, requiring more frequent cleaning.

Flexible dentures
The rigidity of traditional dentures has been combined with the durability of the latest dental materials to create a rigid and flexible denture. We recommend it primarily for patients with metal allergies.

Implant-anchored dentures
The stability of implant-anchored dentures makes them much more comfortable to chew than conventional dentures. Due to the stronger connection the size of the denture can also be significantly reduced. Those who find removable dentures uncomfortable can opt for implantation. During the treatment 4 to 6 artificial teeth are implanted which are perfectly prevented from moving by patented anchors. Find out more about dental implantation!

Partial metal plate prosthesis
A dental prosthesis that takes up more space in the mouth than natural teeth because it also covers certain areas of the oral mucosa. It is usually made of a combination of plastic and metal and consists of a base plate, a bridge, artificial teeth and anchoring devices such as clasps and sliders.
